Thing's are dying.

Well with the recent change in the Darkages class subbing I'm pretty sure that's the straw that break's this camels back. So far from the looks of da-library being back up no one is posting either. Guess this wasn't a revival just a minor prolonging of the inevitable.

I'd agree, only the whole deal with subs and keeping their gear was a bug. It's just that everyone's grown so accustomed to it that it's pretty much pointless in changing it.
And yeah, about nobody posting - I ask. Was there a point in reviving the place? Don't get me wrong, I love that this site's back, but it's also a ghost town.

I know it was a bug I remember when people first realized you could keep your gear on and sub. I think if they were gonna fix it they should have fixed it like 8 years ago when it first was realized. Surprisingly the player list has been booming the last week or so. It's not much compared to old Friday nights of 1500-2000 players but the other day the list cleared 600 people which isn't terrible compared to the 90-200 average over the last 2 years.
I dunno maybe Ken was trying to get the old community back together. Dunno how well that would work considering almost everyone on this forum either quit darkages and got a new email address or just doesn't have any interest in it. Who knows maybe it will pick up.

Yeah, that's basically what I meant. They fixed a bug that should've been done with a long time ago, and it only hurts on their end now that we've grown accustomed to it. It's like those spoiled kids whose parents let them have whatever they want, and then when they're out of control (like, age 16) they suddenly put their foot down. Nothing good comes out of that.
And that I have my doubts about. Ken seldom posts here (no offense, Ken), but I've also offered my help numerous times. When he wasn't around though, I've had to pass messages along through Joy, but nothing was ever arranged. I do hope you're right, about it picking up. I'll do my part and nudge a few people to see if they're still interested in hanging around again. I only hope the best for this place :]

I agree 100%. They are taking away something that has become a cornerstone, bug or not, that would be like removing the tab map for no good reason. Wow I thought Joy would have dropped off the planet. I know just about everyone else did. Ken from what I understand is busy but come on 5 minutes to check a forum can't be impossible.
I have recently thought it would be a good idea to try and get a group together on a different game cause DA seems to be pretty much at it's last high point. There are plenty of cheap or FTP mmo's out there that we can have a good time without being bored to tears.

I suspect the reasoning behind the removal of 'bug' was just because joeker became sick of dealing with restoring the gear. too many people were abusing it. (i.e certain archers who would take off their dianas when they felt like grinding exp, then request them to be placed back on when they wanted to work on AP) it's pretty disappointing; I haven't played since around the time they did this. especially sucks for 1-99 matches.
