Ooh, awesome. Maybe he found a cheaper host. I know one that is 10$ yearly. That's the minimum, but even that's pretty darn good.

I've never given up on darkages but I did lose interest over to warcraft for nearly a year and a half.  As for the-warrior.net, I ran out of funds to host it for another year ($5 per month and $20 domain name fee).  For those of you who said I had money for warcraft and not darkages here is where you are mistaken.  When I hosted the-warrior.net I was also paying $10 per month for the darkages account.  Since warcraft, I was doing both $12 per month (pay 6 months at a time) as well as $10 per month for darkages until I just stopped renewing darkages around May.  April was when the account was due for my yearly hosting fee ($80) and my bank did not have that kind of money to spare at the time because of the two accounts.  I'm not going to go into full details about the finances, but let's just say it was not something I could do at the time.

I did not abandon the site however.  As the site was about to go down I downloaded the host's contents to my PC with plans of bringing it back up at a later date.  I returned in October when I was back on my feet again and tried to re-host the site but some third party advertising company now holds the domain name for the-warrior.net and are not responding to my e-mails or offers to sell it to me.  With that said, I had to choose a different host and domain name through generalhosting.com: http://www.the-warrior.info

The biggest problem I have run into so far is generalhosting.com does not have index.shtml files as one of the default loading pages which is why the site right now has a lot of links that go to (403) Forbidden errors.  I'm working with them to allow this change but in the meantime I have to hand-edit my pages to link properly.

As for updates, I was active in updating up to the day I stopped registering for darkages in May of this year.  Now that I have returned, I will continue to update as I always have.  First though I need to get the pages to work properly so that is my primary concern over updates.
